Counting Our Blessings
“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” - Willie Nelson
As we enjoy the holiday season and wind down the year, it's a perfect time to reflect on the past twelve months.
2018 has been a challenging year for many. But no matter what your year has held, I’d invite you to take a moment and recall the positive and affirming events that brought you insight, wisdom, joy, friendship and love.
Science supports this reflective process as one that can have significant emotional and physical benefits. Counting your blessings can actually make you healthier!
So can being a blessing in someone else’s life. Charitable giving - not only of money, but also donating time or other resources, has clear benefits to both the giver and the receiver, including lowered depression and stress levels - and even a longer life.
The holidays are the primary time of year charities request resources to help those in need. Consider a donation to your favorite organization, volunteering at a local support center, contributing to a food bank or shelter, etc.

I'm happy to report we've had a wonderful year with many blessings at The Practical Path!
We completed the first phase of our Medical Intuition Client Survey, with impressive preliminary results, including a 94-98% accuracy rate in location and assessment of client and patient health issues, evaluation of root causes, and more.
We consider this to be extremely promising data, and look forward to expanding the survey in 2019 to support the development of a full-fledged scientific study.
The year began with the 1st International Conference on the Biofield and the Science of Healing, presented by the Council of Biofield Scientists. I was honored to present my field work in Medical Intuition to a worldwide online community of respected biofield scientists and researchers.
I was delighted to teach a segment in Medical Intuition at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine in Tucson, AZ - one of the first educational centers in the United States to promote integrative medicine. It was extremely gratifying to engage with young, trailblazing medical doctors who are shifting the paradigm of traditional medicine!
It was a great honor to present breakout sessions at two conferences this year - Science and NonDuality 10th Annual Conference in San Jose, CA, and the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) 20th Annual Conference in Orlando, FL. Both were positive, high-energy and full-attendance events that underscored the deep interest in Medical Intuition across a wide spectrum of healthcare.
I also had the opportunity to present workshops and lectures to warm
welcomes at local chapters of The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the Holistic Chamber of Commerce, and organizations including California Institute for Human Science (CIHS).
The Practical Path Certified graduates had a fantastic time at the Scripps Code Lavender events across the San Diego area. These fun, experiential events are designed to give medical staff short hands-on sessions in various biofield modalities - and are always a big hit! Our Certified Medical Intuitive grads had a blast doing “speed readings,” and were given top marks by lucky participants!
Of course, the biggest highlights of my year are always our outstanding students! Our Spring and Fall Semesters, workshops and classes were filled with phenomenal, dedicated healers who inspire their clients and patients every day!
Coming up in 2019
Our 2019 Spring Semester MEDICAL INTUITIVE TRAINING LEVEL 1, which will be held both Live Online and at Prebys Cardiovascular Center/Scripps Health in La Jolla, CA. Click here for more information!
I will be speaking at the UCSD Center for Integrative Medicine later this month (Dec. 2018), and next year I look forward to presentations at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) 39th Annual Conference, and more.
