Certified Practitioner Spotlight - Erin Borbet, L.Ac, MSTOM, Life Coach, CMIP, Doula
Hi, Erin! Tell us about your background and credentials in health and wellness.
I have been a student of the healing arts and holistic wellness for the past 30 years! It all started with an internship at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou China where I apprenticed a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Physician for 13 months. From there, I went on to study Shamanism in the Andes, Tibetan Medicine in Lhasa and Midwifery in Costa Rica. Shortly after my undergraduate degree, I completed my Masters of Science in TCM and became a Licensed Acupuncturist. My first clinical practice was located in the heart of New York City (for 7 years) and specialized in Women's Hormonal Health.
In 2016, I relocated to the Teton Mountain Range with my family and reopened my Acupuncture practice in the town of Victor. Alongside my clinical practice, I branched out into remote consults—including herbal formula recommendations and life coaching. After extensive training with a Shamanic healer, in 2019 I eventually started to incorporate a form of distance energy healing that mimics acupuncture sessions with my remote clients.
What drew you to The Practical Path® Medical Intuitive Training™?
It was my growing remote practice that drew me to The Practical Path programs. I was seeing such profound results with the distance energy healing that I wanted to learn more about energy, how to see it, understand it, and how to more deeply support all of my clients with vital information about their health. It was always my understanding that clairvoyance ("clear seeing") was an intuitive gift that you were born with (or not) and not a skill you could learn.
I started by reading Wendie's book, took an intro workshop with her, and then jumped right in. It felt like a dream come true—being able to cultivate the ability to see energy! I knew this would help my clients on many levels.
Wendie is incredibly supportive and a world-class instructor. The program is rigorous and truly holistic to gain not only the knowledge of how to read energy but also confidence in my accuracy.
How does Medical Intuition support your professional practice?
I primarily use Medical Intuition as a stand-alone offering for clients in the form of a one-hour remote session, and I also integrate it into my distance energy sessions when appropriate. I am starting to use the skills of Medical Intuition in my acupuncture practice as well. It has helped me trust my instincts, senses, and intuition in a whole new way and has a direct benefit to my clients.
How does Medical Intuition support your personal life?
When I started studying Medical Intuition, I had no idea the profound impact it would have on my personal life and my personal health. It didn't even occur to me that honing the ability to see/read other people's energy would also hone the ability to see my own. What a true and lifelong gift! It's probably what I am most grateful for. I bring the practices of Medical Intuition into my daily life through The Practical Path’s skills of energy hygiene, which have helped me show up more clearly for my clients, with more peace and grace toward my family, and helped me overcome difficult symptoms that were personally plaguing me, like insomnia. These practices are unlike anything I have ever learned before, and I am truly grateful for them.
Is there anything else you would like to let people know?
I truly believe in the innate healing potential of the body, the infinite wisdom of our physiological processes, and our interconnectedness to the world around us. This is why I do what I do! It is my deepest honor to be a support and conduit for others on their healing journey. Medical Intuition is now an integral aspect of my work - I still have plenty more to learn, and I look forward to growing more confident in my abilities as Medical Intuitive and healer. I am forever grateful to Wendie and her teachings!
