The Practical Path 2020 Year-End Wrap Up

What a year this has been! I hope you and your loved ones have been staying safe and well.
Though 2020 has been difficult for so many of us, I find it often helps to review what I’ve been grateful for, what steps I’ve taken to build resilience, move towards my goals, support health and wellness, and also to consider what I’m looking forward to in 2021. As the year draws to a close, see if you can take a moment for reflection and review.
2020 was an important year for The Practical Path and the field of Medical Intuition! Here are some of this year’s highlights:
Faculty:
I was honored to be a contributing educator in Medical Intuition for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) Fellowship this year! The AIHM Interprofessional Fellowship offers a premier education for clinicians who want to become leaders in integrative health and medicine.
Publishing:
I signed a book deal this year with renowned international publisher, Watkins Publishing, for a definitive guide to Medical Intuition for wellness professionals. The book is scheduled to arrive in late 2021 - stay tuned!
I’m thrilled to announce our research has been published in Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and listed on National Institutes of Health PubMed directory. The research article, "Assessing the Accuracy of Medical Intuition: An Exploratory and Subjective Study," by myself and Paul J. Mills, PhD. Click here to read on PubMed

National Survey on Medical Intuition:
2020 launched the first nationwide survey on Medical Intuition! This survey was created by a dedicated group of Medical Intuitive practitioners and sponsored by the National Association of Energy Practitioners (NAOEP). We look forward to sharing the results of this ground-breaking survey in 2021. Click here to take the survey.
Accreditations:
We achieved additional Continuing Education accreditations this year, including:
National Certification Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) for acupuncturists.
National Board of Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) for health and wellness coaches.
We also offer CE credits to nurses through the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) and the California Board or Registered Nursing (CABRN).
Conferences:
Conferences certainly were a challenge this year due to Covid-19, though many were able to switch to a virtual platform.
Our research poster was on virtual display at the International Congress on Integrative Medicine & Health, and the abstract was published in Global Advances in Health and Medicine in the conference proceedings.
Our poster came in 4th out of 17 at the USC Institute for Integrative Health & Wellness Virtual Conference in November.
In January, I enjoyed a lovely event presenting at the San Diego Dental Hygenists conference.

I was delighted to contribute to the Academy for Integrative Health & Medicine’s Monday Meditation Series - enjoy this fascinating series created by health leaders across the spectrum of integrative and mind-body wellness.
