Spring Clean Your Energy

Spring is a time of renewed energy and new beginnings. We open up our doors and windows to welcome in the sun and fresh breezes.

Annual Spring cleaning is a great way to refresh the energy in your home and workspace, and it's a great time to do some energetic cleaning as well!

Sparkle Up Your Biofield

Your biofield is your energetic anatomy, or the energy field surrounding and permeating the body. The biofield is made up of your aura, chakras, meridians, and other subtle energy systems. These systems work better and more efficiently if you clean them regularly. Just as your car won’t run as well when the oil gets sludgy, cleaning and recharging your biofield will help it work to your best energetic advantage.

A daily meditation practice does wonders, but it’s also a good idea to give these essential energy systems a good “scrub” every so often to help release anything you’re ready to let go of.

Here are some other simple ways to “Spring clean” your energy:

Crystals and Gemstones
These wonderful, natural healing tools are a great way to clean and ground your energy. There are some stones that will automatically clean your biofield if you wear them as jewelry or carry them in your pocket. Give it a try and see how you feel! Some of my favorite stones to clean and strengthen the aura: Clear Quartz Crystal, Carnelian, Kyanite, Citrine, and Amethyst.

Get Into Nature
Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the natural world. If you work in an office all day, take a walk around the block to notice the trees, sky, flowers, and birds, or find a park or natural space for a quiet break.

My favorite way to clean my energy outside is to take off my shoes and put my feet in the grass – that’s an instant way to ground, which will help balance your energy systems. You can also do this with a natural body of water, like the ocean, a lake or stream.

Essential Oils
Natural essential oils are very useful for healing and their aromatherapy properties are revitalizing. Some excellent oils for cleaning and balancing the aura are lemon, rosemary, bergamot, sage, geranium, lavender, juniper and frankincense.

You can put a put a few drops into your bathwater, massage oil, an atomizer of distilled water for spritzing, or onto a handkerchief that you can carry with you throughout the day and take a relaxing deep breath of calming scent whenever you need it.
